Odo

Know what driving actually costs

With prices this high, most people know filling up hurts but have no idea what driving actually costs them. Odo fixes that with one habit: log the pump, and the app does the rest. It works out your true MPG from tank to tank, your fuel cost per mile, and what you're spending month to month - across every vehicle you drive. It is a fuel tracker and nothing else: no maintenance schedules, no insurance, no tolls, none of the vehicle-expense sprawl that every other app in this category drifts into. Logging takes seconds, the numbers are readable at a glance, and everything stays on your phone. No account, no ads, and nothing leaves the device.

Everything it does, nothing it doesn't.

Small on purpose. Each feature earned its place by solving something real.

01

Log a fill-up in seconds

Odometer, gallons, cost. Three numbers and you're done. Enter whichever two of amount, total, and price per gallon you actually remember and Odo fills in the third.

02

Your real MPG, not the sticker

Measured tank to tank from what you actually pumped, so it reflects your driving, your routes, and your right foot - not a lab test.

03

Fuel cost per mile

The number nobody can work out in their head. Odo keeps a running figure so you know what a commute, a detour, or a road trip really costs to fuel.

04

Every vehicle in one place (Pro)

Car, truck, partner's car, the work van. Each one keeps its own economy, its own history, and its own numbers.

05

Trends over time (Pro)

Watch MPG drift with the seasons, see what you're spending month to month, and compare this year against last.

06

On your Home Screen (Pro)

Your average economy and what you've spent this month, on Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, visible without opening anything.

The number that matters

Cost per mile is the figure nobody can do in their head.

You know what a tank costs. You don't know what a mile costs - and that's the number that tells you whether the long way round is worth it, or what a road trip is really going to run you. Odo works it out from what you actually pumped, and keeps it current every time you fill up. It's fuel cost, not total cost of ownership: Odo tracks what goes in the tank and leaves the rest alone.

No account, no ads, and nothing leaves your phone.

Odo has no sign-up, no sync, and no analytics of any kind - not anonymised, not bucketed, none. Your fill-ups live on your device and nowhere else. Import brings your history in from another app for free, and export takes it back out, so you're never locked in.

Questions

The things people ask.

It's in development, with a release planned before January 2027. This page went up before the app did; it will get a download link when there's something to download.

Logging fill-ups and seeing your MPG, fuel cost per mile, and spend is free forever, on one vehicle. Pro is $19.99 a year or $4.99 a month, each starting with a 7-day free trial, and adds unlimited vehicles, your full history, trends and charts, the trip cost estimator, widgets, and CSV export.

Because the free tier is meant to be genuinely useful, not a trial. You get your real MPG and fuel cost per mile from day one, on one vehicle, with no cap on how many fill-ups you log. Long-term history is what Pro is for.

Tank to tank. Fill up, drive, fill up again - the fuel you just added is exactly what you burned since last time. That's why your first fill-up sets a baseline and the number appears after the second, and why Odo asks whether you filled all the way.

On your device, and nowhere else. There is no account, no server, and no analytics - Odo collects nothing at all and makes no network calls for your fuel data.

Yes, and it's free. Odo imports CSV and matches the common column names from other fuel trackers on its own. Export is Pro.

Yes. Miles and gallons are the default, but Odo handles kilometres and litres and imperial gallons, and shows economy as MPG, L/100km, or km/L depending on where you are.

Odo is on the way.

A fuel tracker for drivers. Log each fill-up and see your real-world MPG, what a mile actually costs you, and where your fuel money is going.
