HogWatch

PostHog analytics on your phone

I kept wanting to glance at my PostHog numbers from my phone, and the web dashboard was never quick on a small screen. HogWatch connects directly to PostHog with your own personal API key, so there is no HogWatch account and no server of mine in the middle. Pick a project and a dashboard and you get a clean home screen with your key metrics, top events, and trends, plus an Explore section for people, feature flags, error tracking, and a HogQL console. Read-only and quiet by design.

Features · 006

Everything it does, nothing it doesn't.

Small on purpose. Each feature earned its place by solving something real.

01

Home at a glance

A hero metric with an area chart, trend sparklines on each card, your top 5 events, and daily active users, all on one screen.

02

Every PostHog chart

Trends, funnels, retention cohorts, paths, breakdown tables, stickiness, and lifecycle insights render natively. Tap any tile to expand it.

03

Events explorer

Search your event stream with live filtering and open any event to inspect its full properties.

04

Explore the rest

People lookup by email or distinct ID, feature flags, error tracking issues, and a HogQL console for custom queries.

05

All your projects

Switch between projects with one tap and keep a separate dashboard and home layout for each.

06

Made to glance at

Dynamic Type support, VoiceOver labels on charts, light and dark themes, pull-to-refresh, and haptics throughout.

No backend

Your analytics go straight from PostHog to your phone, and nowhere else.

HogWatch talks directly to PostHog's public API using a key you provide. There is no HogWatch server, no proxy, and no account to create. Your API key lives in the iOS Keychain and your data is processed entirely on-device.

Read-only by design

A viewer, not another place to break things.

HogWatch reads your data and never writes back to PostHog, so you can hand it your key without worrying about accidental changes. It works with US Cloud, EU Cloud, and self-hosted instances.

Questions

The things people ask.

Yes. HogWatch is a client for your existing PostHog data, so you connect it with your own personal API key. There is no separate HogWatch account to create.

Nowhere except between your phone and PostHog. HogWatch calls the PostHog API directly, with no server of ours in the middle. Your API key is stored in the iOS Keychain and everything is processed on-device.

Yes. You can choose US Cloud, EU Cloud, or enter your own self-hosted host during setup.

No. It is strictly read-only. It views events, insights, people, flags, and issues, and never writes back.

Free covers one project, one dashboard, three metric cards, and recent events and issues. Pro adds unlimited projects and dashboards, more cards, full event history, every refresh interval, feature flags, and the HogQL console. Both come with a 7-day free trial.

Not yet. HogWatch needs a connection to load live data from PostHog and shows a friendly error when you are offline. Cached offline viewing is on the roadmap.
