I built Worldly because I wanted to remember everywhere I'd been without handing my travel history to a cloud service. You search for a place, choose how precisely to track it, and it gets painted onto a globe you can spin or a flat map you can scroll. The app keeps a searchable travel log with dates, notes, and photos, and shows how much of the world you've actually covered at every level from continent down to city. There is no account, no sign-in, and no sync: your visits, notes, and photos are stored on your phone and never uploaded. Pro adds photos, the premium globe styles, state-level tracking, anniversary reminders, and widgets - and anything you have already logged stays visible whether or not you subscribe.

A globe that fills in

Your visits are painted onto a real 3D globe by a custom Metal renderer, with a flat world map if you prefer. Every style comes as both a globe and a projection.

Passport statistics

Coverage rings and counts across 195 countries, 7 continents, and thousands of states and cities, plus travel insights like your first visit and most explored continent.

Photo memories (Pro)

Attach up to 20 photos to a visit and share any trip as a boarding-pass style ticket with the place, the date, and the continent on it.

Pro gates what you can add, never what you can see.

If a subscription lapses, every photo and every state-level visit you ever logged stays fully visible. You lose only the ability to add new ones. That rule is written into the code as a named policy with tests behind it, because your travel history is yours whether or not you're paying this month.

Questions

The things people ask.

Yes, as of version 5.2.2. It's $39.99 a year or $9.99 a month, and both plans start with a 7-day free trial. Pro used to be a single one-time unlock, which is no longer sold.

Nothing changes, and you will never see a paywall. The old one-time unlock was retired from sale rather than deleted, precisely so your purchase keeps working: Worldly still recognizes it, and it restores on a new phone through your Apple ID like any other purchase. The same is true if your Apple ID first downloaded Worldly before 11 February 2026 - you were grandfathered in when Pro was introduced, and that stays permanent through this change too. Settings has an "I'm an Early Adopter" check that confirms either case.

Nothing you logged is deleted or hidden. Every photo and every state-level visit stays visible and readable. You lose the ability to add or remove photos, to change the granularity filter, to use the premium map styles and widgets, and anniversary reminders switch off. Subscribe again and it all comes back, reminders included.

Your visits, notes, and photos are stored on your device with SwiftData and are never uploaded. There's no account, no sign-in, and no cloud sync. Searching for a new place uses Apple MapKit. Worldly also sends anonymous product analytics - taps, screens reached, purchase steps - which never include place names, coordinates, notes, or photos, and carry no monetary amounts at all.

The globe, the map, your stats, and everything in your travel log work with no connection. You only need the network to search for a new place to add, which uses Apple Maps.

Yes. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, and there's a Restore Purchases button on the billing page in Settings.

Not yet. Your travel log lives on your device and there's no export or import today. You can share any individual visit as an image.
